earlvillestu
Does anyone manage to buy an asset from Tekrepocomp through finance? For example, I've found a 2000 airstream Bambi 19, which I love, but I need to finance it. I've tried to get a loan from my local Credit Union and my bank directly(Chase), but since they release the lien from the title only after receiving the payment, they cannot offer me one. Any help will be appreciated!
Pappy Yokum
Well, it doesn't look straightforward. As you know, this is a repossession company. All assets from their inventory have a lien on the title. The title will be cleared after the payment is submitted, as you mentioned early. So my advice is to contact them and ask for a purchase order. It may work, but again, they cannot provide a purchase order since you're not sure you will win the auction. You may try to purchase it for the buy it now price. Of course, the buy it now price(if it has one) may be high enough to make you walk away. I had bought a UTV from them back in 2017, but I didn't need finance. I don't know if my answer helps. Good luck!
Kirk W
They cannot provide a purchase order since they don't know if you will win the auction. You have 48 hours to pay after you win, or they will cancel your membership. Tekrepocomp repossessed cars targets people who don't to need finance(with all due respect and no hard feelings, but it is what it is; I'm trying to help). On the other hand, you may get a personal loan(calculate the APR and see if worth it). If you look at the market price, and your loan payback price is lower than the actual market value, you should go for it. I've been in the same situation in March, but I borrowed money from my family. So yeah...you know your priorities.
earlvillestu
I do have money to buy it directly, but I want to finance it. As Kirk V said, I have some other priorities.

As Kirk V said, I have some other priorities. If you have the funds already, purchase it and finance it after. Simple as that. You can do it directly, or if you wish to get a lower APR, transfer the funds to a friend, ask him to purchase it on your behalf, and buy it from him through your Credit Union(the RV will have a clean title, so it shouldn't be a problem anymore). As long as you trust your friend to transfer him the funds and you're sure he will move it back after he gets the funds from the insurance. It may be immoral because you lower your loan rate somehow(you need to pay two sales taxes, so it probably doesn't worth it), but if you think about morality and banks, you should be just fine. earlvillestu
I must admit I didn't think about that. I will go ahead and see if I can sort it. This is my second purchase from Tekrepocomp. The first time I've bought a Camaro, and so far, I'm satisfied with the car, their prices are 60% of the market, and not in the last place, their customer service is excellent. Not to mention about warranty, which is very important for me. Thanks a lot guys, you made my day!
alan0043
How about going to another dealership that offers you finance? More simple and avoid any headaches. Case solved...you'll probably be approved in a matter of hours, and you can take your RV home.

Why should you be ripped off by a dealer when you can go with Tekrepocomp? First of all, you buy assets for 60-70% of the market's price. Secondly, you get a 14-day refund/return policy, which means you can reject it within two weeks, and you will be refunded in full. Finally, don't forget about the warranty(6 months with each purchase, as standard). Also, you will pay a sale tax and other hidden fees when you go to your local dealer. So from my past experience, I perfectly understand him. Tekrepocomp is the way to go.
